Meet Craig Courter
I have spent my career at the intersection of law, business, and technology. I have served as Chief Operating Officer of three of the world’s largest law firms, where I was responsible for strategy, operations, finance, technology, talent management, and client service. I also practiced law for more than a decade, worked as a Chief Technology Officer, and began my career as a Naval Officer. These experiences give me a perspective few others bring to legal consulting.
In these roles, I have led global strategy initiatives, unified operations across countries, and implemented technologies that connected people and data in ways that improved profitability and client service. I have built and coached large teams, guided leaders through complex change, and delivered high stakes projects on time and on budget. My work has always been about more than fixing a process or deploying a system. It is about helping people see the value in change and giving them the tools to succeed in it.
I understand the legal industry from multiple sides. For law firms, I know what it takes to modernize operations, use data more effectively, and improve profitability. For corporate legal departments and vendors, I provide insight into how law firms work and how to build stronger partnerships, design better solutions, and deliver greater value.
I consult with law firms, legal departments, and vendors that want to move forward with clarity and confidence. My focus is practical: aligning people, process, and innovation to create lasting results.
Outside of consulting, I enjoy woodworking, motorcycle riding, and computer programming. I also serve as Treasurer and Board Member of Woodworking for Warriors, a nonprofit that provides veterans with woodworking facilities, training, and community.
